Code of Conduct for Teachers

Teachers of Chinguaai Institute of Nursing Education are expected to uphold the highest standards of professional ethics, discipline, and commitment. The following code of conduct aims to maintain academic excellence, institutional discipline, and a positive learning environment.

  • Teachers must report to the college by 9:00 AM or earlier and remain on campus until 5:00 PM or later. Biometric attendance and daily muster signing with in-time and out-time are mandatory.
  • A six-day working schedule from Monday to Saturday is followed. Teachers should reach classrooms at least 10 minutes before the scheduled time and avoid unnecessary gatherings or conversations in corridors during working hours. External lectures may be conducted on Sundays with prior approval.
  • No teacher shall leave the classroom or practical session while it is in progress without the prior permission of the Principal.
  • Teachers must maintain a professional appearance by wearing clean, neat, and formal attire. Comfortable and well-fitted clothing that reflects professionalism is expected.
  • Male teachers should avoid wearing fancy accessories such as earrings, bracelets, or kada within the campus and must maintain a clean-shaven appearance. Female teachers are expected to keep their hair neatly tied while on campus.
  • Teachers must complete academic and administrative duties within the timelines assigned by the Head of the Department. Academic performance and student results will be considered for performance appraisal.
  • Teachers should maintain decorum both inside and outside the classroom, serve as role models for students, and actively participate in academic, co-curricular, and institutional activities as assigned.
  • Continuous professional development through study, research, seminars, conferences, and workshops is encouraged to enhance teaching quality and subject expertise.
  • Teachers are expected to cooperate in institutional responsibilities including NAAC activities, admission processes, student counselling, examination duties, supervision, invigilation, and evaluation.
  • Consumption of alcohol, intoxicants, psychotropic substances, smoking, chewing tobacco, pan masala, or similar items is strictly prohibited within the college premises. Violation will invite strict disciplinary action.
